Cast Iron Cookoff

Stay tuned for our 2026 Date!

Join us Sunday, March 16 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Downtown Houma! The Houma Rotary Cast Iron Cookoff presented by Transech LLC features 35+ cooking teams serving their best dishes cooked in cast iron cookware. For a $10 admission fee, you can taste everything, vote for your favorite, and support a great cause!

All event proceeds benefit the many service projects of the Rotary Club of Houma in Terrebonne Parish and a local community beneficiary. To date, we have donated $20,000 to local community causes. This year, the cookoff will dedicate a large portion of proceeds to provide food and hygiene products to more than 2,000 local students in need through the Bayou Youth Equity Foundation: Mom’s Pantry program.

In addition to delicious food, the Cast Iron Cookoff will have live local music, local artists displaying their work, and kid activities. You don’t want to miss this fabulous event!

Many thanks to all our sponsors including Presenting Gumbo Sponsor Transech and Festival Partner Explore Houma!

Cookin’ For a Good Cause!

The funds raised from our cookoff goes right back into our community! Each year, we designate an impactful program or project in our community to fund, while also supporting the Rotary Club of Houma’s service projects.

In 2023, we donated purchased carbon monixide monitors to help keep local first responders safe in all 13 fire districts in Terrebonne Parish. In 2024, we donated an additional $10,000 to START Corporation Veterans Program to fund a food pantry for veterans in need year round.

In addition, the cookoff helps to fund the Rotary Club of Houma’s community service and veteran projects, leadership programs, and scholarships for local students.

Many thanks to our sponsors, teams, volunteers, and attendees who make this impact possible!
