International Service

International Service is for the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service, to expand Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world understanding and peace. The International Service Division has many projects supporting these goals and invites and encourages participation in this vitally important work.

The Rotary Club of Houma has and continues to participate in international projects. In 2009, The Rotary Club of Houma presented our 1st check to Deacon Lloyd, Haiti Mission, Inc., for International Water/Literacy Project. Our water well is adjacent to the school. The literacy part of the project was textbooks into the hands of students at this school.

Most recent projects include hurricane relief efforts in the Caribbean and wheelchair assistance projects.
